Discover the best jungle spots in the surroundings of Bukit Lawang and become a real Jungle Explorer. This package combines the Ethical Jungle Trek of your choice (from 1 to 3 days) with our Bat Caves Tour & BBQ at Landak River and our Giant Flowers Tour in Batu Katak. Besides you'll stay 5 nights at our ecolodge located at the riverside in the most beautiful part of Bukit Lawang. Choose the room option that suits you best. All rooms offer a balcony with an amazing jungle view. This tour starts with jungle trekking in the Gunung Leuser National Park to spot orangutans and other amazing wildlife species. Choose the trek option that suits you best. After the trek, you'll enjoy a walk through the village, the forest and the palm oil plantations to reach the bat caves. Explore this amazing cave system and the species hiding in there before heading to Landak River. Enjoy a yummy barbecue and a relaxing afternoon by the river. The next day you'll go to Batu Katak, a small village about 40min from Bukit Lawang. This unique place hides the biggest and the highest flowers of the world, the Rafflesia and the Amorphophallus Titanum! Explore the jungle and look for these incredible flowers, which are very rare to see as they bloom only for a few days. No flowers blooming ? We still recommend to explore the gem of Batu Katak! Besides the great flowers, you will have great chance to observe gibbons and siamangs while trekking, you can explore caves or soak in a beautiful waterfall in the wild.

1 Day Trek, Traditional Village Tour & Bat Caves, Organic Soap Making

On Day 1, get transferred from the airport to Bukit Lawang, explore the area or take a swim and relax at our ecolodge. On Day 2 you'll explore the jungle for 1D in order to spot orangutans and other wildlife. You'll come back to the guesthouse between 4 and 5 pm with a fun raft down the river. On Day 3 you will go on our traditional village tour. In the morning you'll explore the surroundings, stroll among the rice fields, meet local people and assist to the local productions of tofu and brown sugar and a demonstration of bamboo weaving. You'll enjoy a traditional lunch at a nice spot before exploring the amazing bat caves in the afternoon. On Day 4 you'll immerse yourself in the Sumatran botanicals & delightful scents thanks to a tour combining walk and workshop with Aini, a lovely local woman producing natural soaps. Enjoy a fresh herbal drink from the garden before learning how to make natural soaps using natural oils and selected plants from her garden. For children a fun little toy will be included in the soap! At the end of the workshop enjoy a traditional meal all together with a view on the rice fields! You'll spend 4 nights at our peaceful ecolodge and get a yummy included breakfast every morning. On Day 5 a private car will drop you off at the airport, anytime you'd like. Perfect if you're on a tight schedule but want to make the most of your trip to Bukit Lawang. Best option for families with young children.
