LATEST REGULATIONS - COVID-19

1. Travel requirements to enter Indonesia

Foreign nationals are allowed to enter the territory of Indonesia under the following conditions:
 

  • Through 3 entry points  only (airports) in Jakarta, Bali and Riau Islands

  • With a proof of COVID-19 vaccination at least 14 days prior to departure and a negative RT-PCR test result made less than 2x24 hours before departure (children included)

  • With an eVisa (B2111A tourist visa) or other entry permits in accordance with applicable laws and regulations (Please note the free and paid Visa On Arrival (VOA) options are still currently suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.)

  • Proof of ownership of health insurance with a minimum coverage value of USD 25,000 which includes financing for handling COVID-19.

  • Booking confirmation of the quarantine accommodation.

  • Proof of booking confirmation and payment of accommodation during the stay in Indonesia (after the quarantine)

  • PeduliLindungi application installed on your mobile 

  • eHAC completed on arrival ( available within the Peduli Lindungi APP)

2. Quarantine rules

All foreign and Indonesian nationals entering Indonesia have to undergo a quarantine in one of the government approved hotels (check the list here for Jakarta and here for Bali). 

Quarantine time that applies for Indonesian and Foreign National passport holders:

  1. Fully Vaccinated &  Booster (3 jabs):  2 x 24hrs - 3 Days/2 Nights  

  2. Fully vaccinated (2 jabs): 5 x 24hrs - 5 Days/4 Nights 

  3. Single dose: 7 x 24hrs - 7 Days/4 Nights 

  4. If travelling with children under 18 years of age who don't have the same vaccination scheme as parents, quarantine will follow the parents case and will apply to both Indonesian and foreign passport holders. 

Arrival and Quarantine process: 

  1. PCR test upon arrival at Bali International Airport

  2. PCR test on day 3, 4 or day 6 at Quarantine hotel.

  3. Clear to leave accommodation on day  3, 5 or 7 day if all quarantine guests sharing same room get a negative result.

VISA ReQuirements during the pandemic

1. How to get a B211A tourist eVISA to visit Indonesia

Please note the free and paid Visa On Arrival (VOA) options are still currently suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

Foreign nationals visiting Indonesia for tourism purposes must first apply for an eVisa.

eVisas must be submitted by a guarantor to the Director-General of Immigration electronically. You may not apply directly as an individual and use an agent to do it for you. We recommend Azimuth Adventure Travel Ltd (cheap and safe) but there are many visa operator available. 

 

Your agent will guide you on what you will need to prepare. 

  • A copy of your passport

  • A photo of yourself

  • Proof of full vaccination

  • May be required to show your bank statement in English

  • Proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of USD$25,000 for Coronavirus-related emergencies.

  • Payment to start the application process. 

2. Other valid VISAs and staying permits (foreign nationals)

Below is a list of valid Visas or Stay Permits that are allowed to enter Indonesia: 

Foreign Citizen Passport holders:

  • Service Visa

  • Diplomatic Visa

  • Office stay permit

  • Diplomatic Residence Permit

  • Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP/ITAP)

  • Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS/ITAS)

  • Visit Visa index B211A and B211B

  • Limited Stay Visa index C312, C313, C314, C316, C317.

  • APEC business card holder

DOMESTIC FLIGHTS WITHIN INDONESIA

1. Travel requirements from/to Bali & Java islands

Domestic travelers must comply with the following travel requirements during the community activity restrictions for all PPKM levels until further notice.:

 

Fully Vaccinated Passengers (2 jabs): 

  • Negative Antigen Test 1 x 24hrs 

  • Test result must have a BarCode/QRCode

  • Proof of vaccination 

  • All travellers must have Peduli Lindungi App loaded on mobile and completed eHAC

 

One Dose Vaccinated passengers:

  • Negative PCR Test 3 x24hrs

  • Test result must have a BarCode/QRCode

  • Proof of vaccination 
     

All passengers:

  • All travellers must have Peduli Lindungi App loaded on mobile and completed eHAC

  • Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter, accompanied by their parents/family as evidenced by a family card (Kartu Keluarga/KK), and fulfill the PCR test requirements according to the rules of the departure and destination airports.

  • Domestic travelers are also obligated to comply with the health protocol: wearing a face mask, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap or using hand sanitizer, avoiding crowds and public dining, and reducing mobility.

2. Travel requirements outside of Bali and Java islands

Domestic travelers between cities outside Java and Bali Island have to be vaccinated minimum with 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine and must comply with the following travel requirements:

  • Negative PCR Test 3 x24hrs OR Negative Antigen Test 1 x 24hrs 

  • Test result must have a BarCode/QRCode

  • Proof of vaccination 
     

All passengers:

  • All travellers must have Peduli Lindungi App loaded on mobile and completed eHAC

  • Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter, accompanied by their parents/family as evidenced by a family card (Kartu Keluarga/KK), and fulfill the PCR test requirements according to the rules of the departure and destination airports.
